Greater Indianapolis Area C. elegans Group
Begun in November 2009, the Greater Indianapolis Area C. elegans Group includes researchers working on any aspect of C. elegans biology in and around Indianapolis. Current members of the group come from labs at Indiana University in Bloomington, IU School of Medicine, Wabash College, and Marian University, as well as Butler University. Meetings are annually in the summer and involve data and/or technique presentations given by students, postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, and/or faculty. The mission of the group is to foster interaction, collaborations, and shared resources among C. elegans researchers at all levels working at institutions in central Indiana. Please contact Dr. Kowalski if you are a C. elegans researcher in the area interested in participating in this group.
UbiquitINDY
Founded in November 2015 by Dr. Eric (VJ) Rubenstein (Ball State University), Dr. Andrew Kuzmierczyk (IUPUI, now at Cardinal Health), and Dr. Kowalski, the UbiquitINDY group is a collection of research labs in the Greater Indianapolis Area with shared research interests in ubiquitin, proteasome, and related protein modification systems. The group now includes member labs from Eli Lilly, Purdue, and Indiana University, and annual summer meetings involve data and/or technique presentations given by students, postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, and/or faculty. Much like the Indy Area C. elegans group, the goal of the UbiquitINDY group is to promote interaction, collaborations, as well as data, resource, and idea-sharing among ubiquitin system researchers working in central Indiana. Please contact Dr. Kowalski if you are interested in participating in UbiquitINDY.
